I am just getting started with the demo version in Song Mode, and most things seem clear. However, I started with a 6/8 song, and there are only a dozen or so patterns. I really want to edit one of them, but it seems from the manual that this is possible, but not built into the program? Can you tell me if it is possible, and how difficult it is, to edit a pattern? Is there documentation?

Glenn,
- Drag pattern to your DAW track, edit it, and save as Standard MIDI file type '0' somewhere on disk (check that no chord changes are saved within MIDI file).
- In RealGuitar click MusicLab logo -> Loops Folder to open Loops folder containing Pattern library and User subfolders.
- Put your edited pattern (MIDI file) to User folder and reload RealGuitar,

Beautiful answer. I use this method all the time to cut half loop from here and half loop from there, put it close aside in the pattern track, drag song to Cubase, drag to Loops Folder then close and reopen. Great! I have summed a rather big collection of user patterns over time, to make variations.
What about putting a sort of refresh button in the library tab to avoid reloading? Generally speaking, the patterns have been there since some time, I also own Toontrack Ezdrummer, they did a great improvement to their song track with the latest version (EZD 3, 2022), do you plan future development of the song mode? (which is anyway the n.1 in the guitar vst compartment) |
