How do I turn off the 1-note chord detect? It's messing me up since I know how to play piano and don't need or want the single finger mode.

tonybarnhill,

Unfortunately you can't turn it off. BTW, you are the first to ask about that. Can you describe your problem?

Regards,
Sergey

Hi,
More times than not, when I push A + C, it registers as a C7 instead of Am. I can see the Garageband screen is identifying it correctly, but RealGuitar is seeing it as C7. This happens to me on almost all inversions of chords.
My 1991 Yamaha Keyboard has a chord mode button. You can choose:
1-Finger chords (like real guitar)
Full Chords - You play the chord in any inversion and it picks it up
Full Chords/Root - You play the chord and whatever note is the lowest will be the bass root. So like C/G.

I wish RealGuitar had a way of doing the same. It's constantly not working for me.
Thanks

tonybarnhill,

A+C will never be translated in RealGuitar as C7, but always as Am if you play them tight enough. Only the nearest lower white key will give you 7th chord, i.e. B+C.

Also note that you can increase chord detect time to better fit your playing style in Setup panel (RealGuitar left menu bar).

Regards,
Sergey
