I’m using a Guitar Hero controller which drives the Real Guitars on Ch1. I want to change chords on a harmoniser which is set to Ch 14. Ive set RG midi out to Ch14 and the RG output to midi, but the harmonizer is not receiving any chord information. Is there something else I need to do to make this work?

bigalminal,

Did you set RealGuitar output to 'MIDI' in Setup panel/Output Mode combo box?

Regards,
Sergey

Yes, I did that Sergey. I set it to Ch 14 which is what the harmoniser receives on. I loaded a midi monitor and it says that RG is outputting Ch 14 ok, but the info doesn’t go out to the harmoniser, stopping dead when it reaches the computer.

I forgot to mention that Real Guitar is not remembering the midi out set to Ch 14. Every time I load my file, it defaults back to Ch 1. How can I make it remember Ch 14?

bigalminal,

Don't know what is harmoniser and how it accepts MIDI. Just checked in a DAW - MIDI out works fine via ch14 in any RealGuitar mode including Joystick mode.

Note, that RealGuitar MIDI out doesn't send chord names or types, but only resulting MIDI notes produced in real-time by RealGuitar.

Sergey

A harmoniser produces extra voices from a single mic input.
I’ve managed to get RG sending notes ok. But RG won’t remember its midi out channel. When I set it to ch14, it always returns to ch 1 when I recall my song file. Any idea why this happening?

bigalminal,

Yes, you are right. That's a bug with output channel. Will pass it to our programmers.

Sergey
