I just bought a banjo vst that came with midi file picking patterns. Where do I find the strumming/picking pattern library so that I can add these patterns in please.

bigalminal,

I don't know how patterns used in your banjo plugin work with chords. In our guitars our original pattern technology was used - rhythm patterns are presented as special MIDI notes in the lowest octave (Strokes) that trigger individual voices of the automatically constructed chords. So I don't think you can use banjo patterns with our RealGuitar engine because of different approach.
But you can check that by yourself - click MusicLab logo in RealGuitar GUI, select Loops folder in popup menu to get access to Pattern Library, copy banjo MIDI pattern to User folder, reload RealGuitar to find imported pattern in User folder (in Pattern or Song mode Library).

Regards,
Sergey

I’m using a Guitar Hero controller sending chords from a RG instance set to midi out. These chords are then sent to a second RG set to the pattern player. The second RG is also set to midi out which then plays a banjo vst. I’m doing all this using Gig Performer live vst host. It sounds complicated, but works fine, with the plunking banjo syncing up to the drum vst.

If I can’t load in banjo midis, can I edit a pattern that is close to make it sound like I want?
