I am using the latest version of Real Guitar (v5.1) in Reaper.
I would like bass + chord strumming with the bass note playing alternative 1 and 5 of the chord on beats 1 and 4 in Reaper.
Is there a setting in the Real Guitar interface for this? If not, how would I write the chord for Real Guitar to play as I want?

ClassicMan,
Please clarify what mode are you using - Pattern, or playing live in Multi/Bass&Chord mode?
In case you are in Multi/Bass&Chord mode simply use D key in 4th octave (marked with II on virtual keyboard) for alternative V bass.

As a matter of interest I'm using chord-patterns.
