Hi musiclab,

I bought RealEight some month ago - and it’s fine!
(Just released an album using R8)
Do you plan an update for RealEight? It would be great, if there where some more dyads (minor an major 3rd, 4th, 6th …)

If that is not possible - does anyone have any advice on how to generate 3rds?

Anton,

Interesting suggestion, will consider adding more dyads (though you have already 4ths and 5ths up and down in Solo mode Interval FX).

BTW, you are the first to ask about 3rds and 6ths.

Regards,
Sergey

Hello, Sergey,

am I? Wow. I am the first one! Smile

Well, I thought it was obvious.... (In fact, V-Metal f.i. offers some more dyads....)
I sneak around for a second VSTi guitar - but always miss something.
The Tremolo-Picking Solo-Mode-FX by R8 is ingenious - I use it a lot.
No other guitar seems to do the same. So I think I'll stick with R8.
If there were 3rds, I would be happy. Very Happy

By the way - controlling Palm Mutes with high-gain amps is really, really difficult. I spent a lot of time optimizing a noise gate and trying out the different modes of Palm Muting FX. (I tried the H7S for comparison - and the PM is much more satisfying there).

Anton,

Do you need more long or more short PalmMute sound?

If so, note that in RealEight the length (tightness) of PalmMute is controlled by 4 numeric selections and a slider position: Off (velocity free, only slider can make it shorter), 1, 2, 3 selections are note velocity dependable in different proportions:

Regards,
Sergey

Sorry for responding to an old post.....but this is really something that I am very interested in.

Prominy V-Metal does the following Dyads:

6th
#5th
5th
flat 5th
4th
major 3rd
minor 3rd

BTW....all of these work with legato slide.

I can honestly say that out of EVERY guitar library I"ve used (and I've used them all), this has been the most productive feature by far, especially for metal. If the Real instruments had those dyads, it would rule them all.
