It's not that hard. There are a lot of great fingerpicking patterns on the Internet, and I've made one (based on Kansas's "Dust In The Wind"), so bought an "Encyclopedia" of patterns and intend to input them to RG. In my case, I use a step sequencer (that comes with my DAW--Cakewalk by Bandlab) and input the notes per the published DAW. 5-minute process. Easy to convert to MIDI then. AND I'LL BE HAPPY TO EVENTUALLY SHARE.
Am I the first one to do this? Is there already some kind of site that will let me download MIDI files for these instruments (I'm using the upper keys of my MIDI keyboard per, I think, page 78 of the RG4 manual to determine which of the 6 "strings" gets plucked--which, I think, is what MusicLab does).
If not, are there any other folks out there interested in joining me in providing and sharing patterns. There are a bunch of patterns Tabbed here: https://www.sixstringfingerpicking.com/101fingerpickingpatterns/
I'm finding that it only takes about 5 minutes (after some practice) to input the Tab and convert to midi. Like I said, I'm going to start making some--anyone else? Feel free to contact me and we can divvy things up.
