According to the RealStrat-Elite User Manual you may use the Key Switch called Strum (up or down) if you are in Multi mode which I am.

If I use any other Key Switch and turn the "K" button off, its trigger
note in the Repeat Zone does not sound when pressed on my MIDI
keyboard. This is what I want and is how its been working for everything
else. When I try to use Strum, no matter how I set the K button when I
hit the note to trigger the effect it plays the corresponding chord.

If I code strum up and strum down in my MIDI editor, along with a chord to be strummed, if I click on the trigger notes, RS indicates a MIDI event was received and it says "strum up" or "strum down" in the RS window, but when I play the MIDI, the chords only play as "strum down".
Does Strum not work like the other Key Switches?

Update: After playing with this for another hour, I have discovered
that if I go to Setup and hit Reset and then turn the two Strum
Key Switches on, I can press them again and again and they
do not play a chord. If I hold one down and play a chord in the
main area once, then after that they will not stay silient and sound
a chord whenever they're pressed.

MikeW,

Not clear why you are going to assign Strums on Repeat keys - all Repeat keys are already Strums (up/down neighboring ones) while black keys are Muted strums
Strum Keyswitches may be useful if you switch on the Strings keys and want to assign this or that chord strum on black keys inside String keys range in case the 3 preset combinations in Black -> Strum menu don't match your needs.

Regards,
Sergey
