User chords is the last section of REALGUITAR5 i hadnt explored, so i was messing with it last night.
It was the hardest part of this software for me, but finally through trial and error i figured out how to create with it.

Just messing around, I was creating strange sounding chords that i didnt even know existed, Laughing
The user chord section of this software is very powerfull!

Very Happy

Yes indeed!

One mental barrier I eventually overcame was realizing that I could name my user chords whatever I wanted -- regardless of what notes are actually in the chord.

I had a situation where I wanted several different fingerings of a C7 chord (some with open strings, some without, some with certain notes dropped, etc.) but it was all a C7 chord played in the same position on the neck.

For a little while I didn't know how to make it all work, but then I realized that the song doesn't use certain chords (B7, E7, F7, etc.), so I used those names for the different types of C7 chords I created!

The only issue was that I had to remember when I play that song to load those custom user chords, and that B7 plays C7 in this configuration, E7 plays C7 in this other configuration, ... but really, that wasn't too much effort.

Obviously, this might not be suitable for everyone. But it really demonstrates the flexibility of the User Chords!
