When I open RealRick standalone, everything is fine. When I open it in Sonar, the mono 12-string samples are fine; but the stereo 12-string samples are 6-string. Somehow, the stereo 12-string samples are missing when in the host. Since this problem does not occur in stand-alone, I wonder if it could have something to do with the dll. Thoughts?

konradh,

Should work fine in Sonar
What is your OS and Sonar version?

Regards,
Sergey

Hi, Sergey! Long time since we've talked.

I am on Windows 7 64-bit and Sonar X1d. RealGuitar, RealStrat, and RealLPC work fine.

Could it be that Sonar is finding the 32-bit dll and not the 64? I know that probably wouldn't cause the issue, but the problem with 32 versus 64 did cause problems with other VSTs.

I can try reinstalling or whatever you suggest. Thanks!

As always, congratulations on your success and fine products. You can hear lots of MusicLab guitars on my current album: themightykonrad.com

Hi Konrad,

Checked in Sonar X3-64bit (don't have X1) - works fine
Do you mean that 12-string stereo sounds as 6-string stereo?

What VSTs you mean with 32 versus 64 bit probem, MusicLab's?

Regards,
Sergey

P.S. Yes, I see you really use our guitars a lot in your music - happy to know that our products are useful!

Hi. Yes, the 12-string stereo sounds like a six string. The 12-string mono is fine. The problem does not occur in stand-alone. Very strange.

I still like the product, anyway.

I'm sorry I don't remember which VSTs had issues. That was over a year ago. The technician from Sweetwater Sound did some work to make sure that Sonar found all the 64-bit versions of the dlls fir all VSTs.

Thanks!

I rebooted Sonar and my PC and the issue is resolved. I have no explanation but it is fine now.

Thanks!
