hi,
this is my first post here. i just got real guitar, after using Virtual Guitar for a while- and I'm blown away by it.
My question is about damping, when strumming chords. I notice that if you play a chord, say a G major, and you play the whole chord on the keyboard but then remove the third and the fifth, your strumming produces a damping of just the bottom two notes. I really like playing it like that, but wondered if there is a way to get that effect from the moment you play the chord, rather than having to have the first full strum sound out.
cheers. |

looperboy,
In RG we incorporated special 'smart strumming' feature which allows to strum upper/mid/lower strings controlling that by releasing the appropriate chord notes (upper or lower one of the chord pressed in the Main Zone)
In the current version there is no possibility to perform this feature on the first strum of the new chord (it is always strummed using all strings).
We'll think how that can be realized in future updates.

thanks.
the only way i can think of doing it at the moment is to export the strum pattern as an audio file, and then edited out all the full strums. |

looperboy,
Thanks for the post / tip. I never played RG as per you example, so I didn't know it did that!
This could come in handy, especially running through an amp simulator or distortion.
