interesting! I didn't know sus 2 chords existed.
Maybe you want to post how sus4 chords are constructed and then explain how sus2 are constructed?
It would certainly make me gain a little extra knowledge in music if you did and i would certainly aprreciate it soo much.

Steve, indeed i'm going to enjoy that!
Your explanation on what a csus2 would be for example is what i expected this to be, thank god i was right!
Fantastic what a link mate!!! That's gotta be the link of the year i reckon m8.
So useful too... i'm finding chords here unimaginable for both piano and guitar!
Thank you. So in seeing that website, do you think there are more chords missing in RG than that of sus2? like C2, and things like that? or are all covered but that one? _________________ You're gotta love RealGuitar! |

A Csus2 is basically the same as a Cadd9. To get that D in a C chord, you need to play the C E G triad and add a D . . . C D E G, E G C D, etc. Real Guitar sometimes seems to rely on the third (maj. or min.) of a chord to maintain it when adding 2nds, 4ths and 6ths.
To achieve an actual C D G chord without the E added in, you'll need to do it in solo mode, since RG recognizes C D G as a Gsus4
I believe any guitar emulation that would recognize chords as we THINK them rather than play them would need some sort of artificial intelligence, since a C D G can be a Csus2, Gsus4, D7sus4, F6add9 etc., all depending on the key your in. It could probably be done in chord mode if some more lines of code were written to tell RG that the lowest note played in the chord would determine the key of the chord, regardless of which notes were played. It's been mentioned before, and I'll bet that the folks at MusicLab are considering a way to do it in future releases.
Thanks for the links!

I accept that having the intelligent chord recognition is cool and if you use the link I posted and solo mode you could make any chord.
But it is such a simple Chord the Sus 2 that I just wondered how you got it, so tar.
The Chord House link is a cracker eh. Don’t tell everyone – LOL
On another subject have you guys bought the patterns yet for RG?
Any Good? |

Sorry I missed your question Deesto
I noticed one chord missing and that is:
5/7 chord
Example: Hold F and then count 2 steps back (D#) then cound back 3 steps (C).
Should have C D# F
I use this chord sometimes as a bridge to a resolution. Works every time try it with Pad Sounds.
Example Chords:
C -- C E G
Am -- A C E
C 5/7 -- G A# C
F -- F A C |
