Tremolo Function - Real Guitar 2L

I am using Real Guitar 2L in Sonar X1. I have updated to Real Guitar 2.3 and am using the 64 bit versiion.

How do I use the tremolo function?

I have written in a single note to denote a chord and this plays fine in Real Guitar as a single strummed chord. I selected the 'Tremolo' switch in Real Guitar but it still plays as a single strummed chord.

There must be something else I'm missing for the tremolo effect.

Any help would be much appreciated.
