Hi guys!
I want to use Ableton Live on my Macbook in OS X sending MIDI-data to DMX-Control in Parallels/Windows XP on the same machine.
Unfortunately I do not know much about network-architecture so I hope for your help.
I bought Molcp3 for I know it seems to be the only way to get MIDI-Data from Mac OS X to Windows XP in Parallels.
When I switch on the Midi-Monitor there is some out-signal in OS X but no data are received in Windows.
Which of the network-modi in Parallels do I have to choose? There are:
Shared / Bridged / Host-Exclusive
I have tried all three. When I switched to "Bridged" I got an error-message saying:
The real network-device Ethernet that is used by the virtual device 1 is not connected to the network
As I said: no matter which mode I tried it did not work. |

Same here! Except I'm running VMWare's Fusion and I haven't bought MOLCP yet, as I want to know whether it will work or not!
Have just posted almost the exact same thread here:-

How annoying is it that it seems easily done with two real life machines as opposed to just one! There's something not right there!!!!
I hope someone provides the solution soon, I'm getting tired of switching between OS's. |

Hey Robosapien!
Let's keep this thread alive. I am now using a workaround with my Iphone and it's Personal Hotspot-Feature.
Unfortunately when the Internet-Connection of the cellphone breaks down the network is no longer provided by the Iphone, so my lamps stay black.
Not so funny on stage - as you can imagine.
Is there anybody in this forum who can help? |

I did it! The Windows XP now takes the midi data. Guess what I did!
I created an adhoc-network, just click on the wlan-button. Now everything is running! Perfectly!!! |
