I can't do nothing but strum and I press all these buttons on it and nothing happens... Can you do chords with just a mouse or do you need a real piano keyboard... PLease respond |

crimsonice,
You can play chords with RealGuitar in a host sequencer without MIDI keyboard:
- select Chords mode in RealGuitar
- output a MIDI track of your host sequencer to RealGuitar
- open Piano Roll view of the MIDI track
- enter a chord in the range of RealGuitar Main zone (E1-C5) and start sequencer
Note, you can't play standalone launched RealGuitar without MIDI keyboard.
Regards,

Thank you for your prompt answer. I am sure that many people who lack music skills ... such as myself did not know that. I will get a MIDI keyboard. I am sure that will help a WHHOOOLLLEEE Lot heh. Once again thank you. |

You can also play chords from your computer keyboard using Chainer.
http://www.xlutop.com/html/chainer.html
The free version only disables preset loading and saving.
Just load RG into a slot in Chainer, load the guitar of your choice and set to chord mode.
The Chainer window must be highlighted for this to work. It's a very, very limited way to play, no velocity and not enough keys, but it is polyphonic, so you can change the chords up a bit.
This only works for the VST Real guitar, not the stand alone.
Best get out and get a midi keyboard! Even if you're on a tight budget, there are some pretty good cheap ones out there!
