Hey Sergey, now that you have Accoustic guitar mastered will you be working on a Electric Guitar version that will compete against Refx Slayer2?

Thanks.

Slayer2 isnt sample based so there isnt really any competition as they are 2 very different ways of doing things.

SAB,

We didn't finish with acoustic RealGuitar, and now in work are:

- RG Mac version

- Releasing large MIDI pattern library for RealGuitar.
The MIDI pattern library is based on Rhythm'n'Chords Guitar Pattern Library and is essential for those having problems with live playing RG. With MIDI patterns the work with RG would be similar to Steinberg VG, but additionally you can easily edit/create rhythm patterns right in the MIDI track.

Regards,
Sergey

Hi Sergey,

Do you have any idea when the midi library will be available, please? Also, what will it cost for registered users of RealGuitar?

Thanks for a really good product,

Steve

SFR,

Planning to release RealGuitar 1.5 version with special Pattern mode added, as well as MIDI pattern Library including about 100 Styles (5-20 rhythm patterns each) at the end of July.

The update to RG 1.5 will be free.

Pattern Library will not be free, but think not expensive taking into consideration about 1000 pre-recorded rhythm patterns easily usable for instant creating guitar accompaniments in a great variety of music styles.

Regards,
Sergey

Thanks Sergey, sounds FANTASTIC!!! Very Happy I can't wait.

Any idea on how much the pattern library will cost? And are there any screenshots for us to drool over yet?

Cheers,

Steve

Steve,

No need in screenshots.
Only one button is added to RG interface that switches on Pattern mode.

Pattern Library is a set of Standard MIDI files, each having a number of tracks-patterns. Pattern consists of MIDI notes triggering various guitar strokes (upstrum, downstrum, muted strum, individual strings, etc, all in all 19 Strokes). So using this special Stroke Map for RealGuitar 1.5, notes from MIDI track are transformed into guitar Strokes that play chords constructed by RG.

To create guitar accompaniment you will have to import MIDI file, copy the needed pattern to MIDI track outputted to RealGuitar, start host sequencer and simply play chord changes over the pattern track (or simply enter chord changes to MIDI track step by step).

Regards,
Sergey

For Rhythm'n'Chords Style Library owners:

1. There is no need in RealGuitar MIDI Pattern Library if you own RnC Pro with the whole Style Library, because the patterns are similar but the work with RnC Library is much easier.

2. RealGuitar 1.5 will have special mode allowing the direct access to all multi-sample features for Rhythm'n'Chords Pro 2.5 (this special version will be released simultaneously with RG 1.5)

3. The owners of the complete RnC Guitar Style Library may get RealGuitar MIDI Pattern Library for free.

Regards,
Sergey

Hello Sergey,

I own RnC pro2.5, and 4 pattern libraries, will the patterns I have already work in RG, and do I have to buy the 4 I have already again?

Thanks, Rockitglider Cool

Rockitglider,

As I wrote before you don't need to purchase RG MIDI pattern library if you own Rhythm'n'Chords and RnC Guitar Style Library.

RealGuitar 1.5 will have special mode for connecting Rhythm'n'Chords 2.5 to directly access RG multi-sample architecture (RnC 2.5 has similar special mode for RG).
So you simply update RnC and RG and they will work fine together in Sonar.

Regards,
Sergey

... and is v1.5 now imminent? I'm looking forward to it (even if my credit card isn't) and can't wait much longer...

RealGuitar 1.5 will be released in 3-4 days, as well as the RG MIDI Pattern Library, and Rhythm'n'Chords 2.5.

Regards,
Sergey
