Hello,
My system using MOL on 5 computers is behaving strangely.
My DAW is a Mac Pro. I restart it and it sees two of my slave Macs and then I restart and it sees one of my Windows machines but not my Mac. I don't think it is a Mac Windows error as I have used Mac and Windows for years on MOL. (I have the latest MOL version.)
I am using two network switches. (!)
Could this be it? My DAW is connected to one switch and so are two slaves, and then the network switch connects to another network switch which has the other two computers.
Can I do this? Is this extra switch causing my problems? It is possible I have not turned on the other two machines since I got this second switch.
Thanks,

Maybe it is a registration problem but I have seen no registration error message. |

Turns out I had to reinstall MOL on my DAW. I had just done it a couple weeks back and did not think it was the problem. But it often is.
Not sure why my MOL went bad but I did replace the battery in my Mac Pro RAID card and maybe this affected things.
I also have been using two swicthes for a while. Was just scratching my head with this problem.
Thanks for your help. |
