I have never played guitar, regrettably, and hiring a player for every song I write is expensive. On my last CD, Real Guitar sounded so good on a couple of tunes, I used it instead of a live player. But for demos, Real Strat and Real Guitar are all I have to use now!!
So, I used Real Guitar and Real Strat on a demo of a new Pop song I wrote. Thought I would share it. I'm not much of an engineer - it's just a demo I do all the instruments and vocals.

There's Real Strat on the left and a distorted Real Strat over top. Obviously, the main guitar is Real Guitar.

Thanks!
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but everything I tried just got in the way. It's pretty busy now. However, in the second verse, I might try something more than strumming on the Real Strat. _________________ Matt

The very 'dry' beginning (drums) made me think 'Hm, well...' but soon the song got more and more interesting. Hardly paid attention to RS after a while because the multitude of vocals distracted me (in a positive way! ). Nice arrangement/harmonies! (Reminded me of the early Andy Pratt: do you know him?)
[OT]
Did you double the vocals for real or in the computer? They harmonies sounded real 'tight' (which is good) and full: my harmonies never have that 'tight' sound. So if you could share a little how you get things done...

No, don't know Andy Pratt. Have to look him up.
The drums were "on purpose". I wanted it in your face. There is the natural mic bleed and ambience, but didn't like any other "space".
I do all the harmonies myself. I usually do 4 to 8 tracks of each harmony (unless I want a smaller sound) I did 4 tracks on this tune of each harmony, panned two hard right and left and two just inside a bit. Compress them, etc. But it me, not the computer doing it

Well, I guess that makes it even better. If you do look him up, look for the EARLY years, up unto Motives: after that things went downhill rather quickly...). If you like your own music, I think you will like his old stuff too. (Although I doubt if anything made it unto cd... ) |

Cool, I'll do that.
Oh, by the way...to CC Taylor. I'm still waiting for my Amplitube upgrade, so that's why I felt limited with Real Strat on the tune. Once I get the full version I hope to feel more creative with it. _________________ Matt
