Hello ! Im trying to figure out how to make some double bass drum track.. only thing I've come up with so far, is lowering the velocity on every second hit, but it doesnt sound "real" the way a snare roll does, for example.. . Any clues, hints , tips are much appreciated !

Here's what I do...

If you want to use DrumTools for this, change one of the instuments to 'universal'. You can the assign a second note (i.e., 'B1') to play a second kick.

I prefer to tune the two kicks about 100 cents apart. I also pan them opposite of each other just a tiny bit.

If you are trying to do those 32nd note kick parts, alter the two kicks.

I just happen to be working on a track now - DRUMS. Not a style I usually do, but...
