Dear,
you can have a commercial/free linux version for the ALSA subsystem?

There may be some variations:
binary closed-source
hybrid open-source/closed-source
.

I use ipmidi (commercial OSX/Windows and open source linux qmidinet) but the IP stack (UDP multicast) is heavy.

Other solutions (over raw ethernet) are CopperLAN but is not available for linux, only for embedded linux systems.
