Most people seem to be interested in heavy powerchords over here, but I just made a tune that's completely different... COUNTRY!!! Ride 'm in, let 'm out, RAWHIDE! This is NOT the music I normally make nor listen too Rolling Eyes but I came up with this after fooling around with a Country trainbeat preset from Jamstix 2. Wink I just HAD to use it. Even though this SIMPLE tune uses RealGuitar A LOT, I posted it here, because the main melody is RealStrat.

Well done! Simple, yet effective, with a nice build-up of sound and instruments suitably recorded...and a nice change from all those power chords and screaming leads we've been hearing elsewhere. Smile

Maybe you should. Sounds good!

Couldn't this song, with maybe the exception of the lead, be done on RealGuitar?

It WAS done with RealGuitar (as I said in the OP: "Even though this SIMPLE tune uses RealGuitar A LOT, I posted it here, because the main melody is RealStrat.")! Razz You can't get such good acoustic guitars with RS... Wink

J,

Sounds great, tell us please, the Real 'Guitar' parts (Ac) are they from the pattern library? or sequenced? or?

They are not from the library but played SORT OF live. I usually (and also in this case) play this kind of stuff (non-solo guitar) in pattern mode. I usually only record a few bars until I got it right (the rhythm or the picking), then I take the best pattern, make it 'perfect' (quantize it (or not), change velocities (or not), etc.) and then copy and paste it (or I make a groove clip of it in Sonar) after which I let a seperate MIDI-track with only the chords 'feed' the patterns. In this song (like always) I only had to make the chord-track once and copied it to all instances of RG, so they would all play the same song. It's very easy and very quick!

I really enjoyed that. Fine pickin and you did a good job throughout. I don't believe anywould would know they aren't regular guitars. It's amazing that I have around $10K in sample libraries and I love Realguitar most of all. I can hardly wait until I get Realstrat running.
