What does the AU-Manager say... is it there greyed out? Revalidate it from there, give it a try... |

Apple changed their AU spec for Pro 8 without letting developers know before the release (poor play from Apple ), thus some plugs aren't working... another being multi-outs for BFD 1.5.x at the mo.
I'm sure MusicLab will look into this asap.

Kolton..
What are your sys specs..?
OS?
I understood that the AUval was changed in the 10.4.9 system..
not LP8..
and that 10.4.10 (combi install) and a rerun of auval was all it took to "fix" ..
I'll be testing RS and LP8 on G5 and MBP monday.. _________________ Dr Ryman

Whow, so you sure are in close contact with Apple, eh?
Please stop posting such wrong informations, unless you can prove what you are saying. Every developer can get in touch with Apple (or is even contacted by them) regarding new releases.
P.S.: If Apple had really changed everything, then why do all my plugins work in L8 from Korg and Arturia over to Celemony, Waves and Antares? |

Hi kolton,
RealStrat works in L8. Please either deleted your L8 preferences and start over or start the AU Manager manually and re-scan RealStrat.
Cheers

I know this for a fact as I got the info from a plugin developer.
Some may well work but there are some too that don't as of yet.

Well, we probably should better never believe what developers tell us. Mine told me the exact opposite and his plugins just work
Maybe "Apple changing AU specs" is just one good excuse whenever plugins don´t work? At least I cannot understand, why stuff which was out long before L8 hit the street did not break? |

Not sure m8. I'm gonna hold off for a while as Fxpansion's BFD multi-outs aren't working quite yet, which is a big one I use all the time. |

the plugin developer was Eric at Spectrasonics, he posted it for all to see on a public forum, he was referring to multi-output plugins, hence BFD and his own Stylus RMX are not working and yes, he said Apple changed the spec on them without warning.
And, seemingly, RealStrat is just fine.
Everyone happy? |

I find it VERY hard to believe that Apple does (according to these infos) not offer any pre-release versions to developers. Usually, every company has an NDA policy for developers and if they sign it, they can receive pre-release versions. The fact that a lot of other plugins work fine with multi-outs gives me the impression that someone else is to blame than Apple.
