yeah, i know a sample that's out of tune will stay out of tune but thats easily fixed in kontakt2 no ?

COuld you not also tune each individual snare in RS ? (tthink i read that somewhere)

You could, but remember there are many layers so each one at every switching point for velocities would have to be checked and tuned. Also, if it's legato and falls out of tune after a second or so, you'd have to edit that part of the sample-for the velocity-for the note, tune it, create it as one sample again and 'overwrite' back into the program.

that´s where "melodyne plugin" would jump in here. a no brainer these days...

It seems odd to me that people whose "ears hurt" when they hear guitar notes played even a cent or two out of perfect tune would ever be drawn to the guitar in the first place.

"Perfect tuning" and "guitar music" do not go hand in hand. Never have. Never will.

That being said, LPC sounds as nicely tuned as any guitar I've ever heard...and I remain thankful that I'm not cursed with your type of sensitive ears....otherwise I'd need to abandon my love of guitars altogether.

I see your point, but I've worked with some rather well known players....like Rusty Anderson for one. Never once was there a tuning problem with him or any other others.

"... rather well known players....like Rusty Anderson..."

Small world, I live around the corner from him. And, my wife runs into him occasionally walking the dogs.

Very Happy

He's the best I've ever worked with and certainly deserves every bit of his success.
