RealGuitar doesn't play properly when Kontakt in session

I use Pro Tools. When I insert RealGuitar, it plays properly both from within the plugin AND when I drag the MIDI to the track. BUT if I also have any Kontakt instruments on other tracks (and if I play from the RG plugin), RG sounds as if a palm is deadening the sound, rather than having the notes ring out. But RG sounds okay when I drag the MIDI to the track (although, the actual sound of the guitar is a little thinner and needs EQ to give it less highs). The problem is that it's cumbersome to keep dragging the MIDI to the track when I want to hear how things sound and make changes. Any suggestions? (BTW, importing a properly sounding RG track into a session with Kontakt results in RG sounding wrong.) Any suggestions?
