The standard Csus2 is

The standard Gsus4 is

RealGuitar reads the Csus2 as Gsus4, I need to add the next octave C for it to work, all the other chords work from the standards.

mluser,

That's OK, so you've got it right by adding C octave!. Chord detection system is a very complex thing. We made it most suitable for piano chords entering.

The only trouble is remembering to do that each time.
I could have a midi plugin before RG to re voice the chord sus2 and add the root octave note, then I need to remember that also.
So will changing this in RealGuitar VST will throw it all out ??? as the sus2 is the only standard voicing chord in it's list that it don't recognize.

However Csus2 and Gsus4 are different in their tonal quality. Can we expect an upgrade on RealGuitar, that it would recognize the Chords in a better fashion?

SonySea,

Csus2 and Gsus4 have different voicings in RealGuitar (like any other sus2 and sus4 chords) but sus2 should be played with second root note added in octave to let the engine know that it is not sus4, so not clear what do you need to change in chord recognition?

Sergey
