How to get a more well defined up and down strum?

I was wondering how to get a more defined up and down strum, I really can't tell the difference at a fast strum. Is there any way to get this a bit more defined?

If you produce strums with Repeat zone notes try to reduce velocity of up strums.

How do you produce strums? Are you in Pattern mode, Song mode, or Chords mode?

Bass and Pick mode using the stroke keys.

Press or insert up strum stroke key/note with lower velocity value.
