Now that you've mastered the six-string, I think you guys should use your technical wizardry to perfect the electric bass. The Real series has completely spoiled me for sampled guitars, and it's a shame we're all still stuck with limited electric bass sample sets to go with them. Even sample sets like Scarbee Pre-/Jay-Bass are limited to fingered articulations and styles that don't cover all genres of music. Between the Patterns and the myriad of articulations you guys program into the guitars, I think a "RealBass" would clean house. You could even set it up like RealGuitar 2, where you have a couple of different selections to choose from, like a Precision Bass, a Jazz Bass, maybe an upright and a fretless (plus, no chords and chords and bass would give you more room for other things), and offer articulations like pick, fingered or slap on keyswitches (most bass sample sets only seem to offer one of the three).

Really hoping that the next Musiclab product will be RealBass. As you said, it would kick ass. I also think that a bass instrument from Musiclab would attract far more attention than the guitar since bass is used more in electronic music. I use ManyBass from ManyTone. Its a fine sampler but its not instrument emulation. Doesn't have multiple notes per velocity, release and fret sounds, no articulations. Plus its huge!

So a RealBass is the ideal next step in my opinion since Musiclab has in fact definitely mastered the Electric guitar Smile

Hi,

I second the idea of a RealBass release, maybe with some different sounds like a Fender Bass and an acoustic upright bass.

Any plans at MusicLab to work on that ?

I'm surprised development on Real Bass wasn't begun a long time ago.
Maybe it's a secret project or else not enough time for it.
Sure would be a big market for it.

In retrospect, if they are developing a "RealBass", they would probably go the same route they did with their electric guitar VIs and do one instrument per VI (think "RealPBass", "RealJazz", etc.).

It is time for RealBass. Much of the programming already created for RG could be transferred over I would think.
There would be quite a market for it.

Is there a user library for patterns, etc.? I don't see one.
