Greetings Sergey & Forum Members,

I just sent an email to MusicLab support and I wanted to post the same message here in case anybody has run into a similar problem and might be able to assist. My sincere thanks in advance. Here's the text of the email I sent:

I am unable to use RealGuitar. I have tried loading the plugin in two applications- Ableton Live and Tracktion. Both of those applications crash within 2-3 seconds of the plugin loading (when I insert it into a MIDI track). This happens before any MIDI keyboard keys are pressed. In fact, there isn't even time to get the RealGuitar GUI to show up.

Here is a brief description of my system:
G3 'Pismo' PowerBook 400 mhz 576 MB RAM OS 10.3
Studiologic MIDI controller
Tascam US428 audio/midi interface
Live and Tracktion as hosts
RealGuitar 1.5 installed into default location

The RG plugin does appear as a selection along with all of my other VST plugs. All my other plugins load without error, by the way. I want to make it clear that the RG plugin does seem to load; I even did see the GUI interface for a moment once, before it crashed.

Troubleshooting
I have quit all other apps, powered-off my wireless card (so I'm not connected to the Internet), and rebooted. I have also reinstalled the plugin. I have also removed all other VST plugins from the VST directory.

I can think of nothing else to try. Please HELP!!!

Thanks dj,

...in fact, the good people at MusicLab contacted me via email and said the same thing- the 'ol 400mhz G3 can't cut it. Time to spend some more money...
