Hello there,
I've installed molcp on a iMac (10.6.8 ) and on a PC (XP), to be able to use my M-Audio usb keyboard, plugged in the mac, to play VSTis on the pc, through Logic.
- both computers and molcp monitors see each other (Mac is "OUT", pc is "IN")
- when I hit the little "Test Midi Ch.1" button on the Mac's control panel, the synth on the PC makes a noise. Wonderful!
- Logic sees the molcp channels, I set up an "external midi instrument" to send notes to "molcp channel 1". Should work, shouldn't it?
Except molcp totally ignores my midi keyboard, or the 'midi note out' commands coming from Logic.
What am I doing wrong?
I tried checking the "Midi in" box on the mac's control panel, tried checking 'local pipe mode', on or off, no dice.
The molcp midi monitor only shows activity on its "out" port 1 ch. 1 (lit up solid green). Nothing ever show up on the "in" ports. Shouldn't it show at least when my usb keys are sending midi?
Any ideas?
