I'm not a guitar player.... I guess the subject it self verify that..
However... I'm very much interested in RG, but bit (or probably a lot) confused about the Up Strum and Down strum thing...
Is up strum mean struming from up to down or from down to up wards?
Same confusion about down strum as well.
Please explain.
Thanks in advance. |

I guess nobody wants to reply.....
I have asked a guitarist about this and he gave a look ... and said these are not the general terms used in his world. And RG Manual doesn't explain as well..... |

Next time a guitarist looks at you like
Look at him like
Then he'll probably go and start yelling like
Then you can go and feel like
A down strum is just as it sounds. . . your hand strums downward on the guitar, from chest to crotch (low note to high note). An up strum is just the opposite.
I'm curious of what world that guitarist is from. This is a common term found in almost every guitar lesson. Maybe he's used to calling them downstrokes and upstrokes. Who knows
Hope this helps!
