RealStrat Clicks/Pops, Then Pro Tools Quits Unexpectedly

Hi! I recently installed RealStrat 1.2 on my MAC OS 10.4.9, running PRO TOOLS LE 7.4.

Once RS is loaded and I press a note on the controller, I suddenly hear clicks/pops, then Pro Tools unexpectedly quits. This happens everytime, same scenario.

One solution I found, though, was to load RealGuitar, play a few notes, then on another track, load RS, then RS would work fine. (I really don't understand that part, but that's how it worked for me).

I hope I don't have to resort to having to open RealGuitar everytime just to address this recurring issue. Is there any way around this? Or maybe there's something wrong I'm doing?
