Still not figuring out automation of midi controllers

OK, I got the message about using controller #54 but i must not be doing it right because it doesn't come out of solo mode. Could someone give me a detailed step by step of how to get RG to change from solo to chords mode automatically in Sonar 3.0?

How to use CC for automation with RG 1.01 version (1.0 has no automation):

Select MIDI track outputted to RealGuitar, open Event List editor and insert CC# 54 (Kind column for the event), set CC value (the last column)for this controller higher than 30, and start Sonar - the result should be mode change in RG.

Try to launch RG as VST via Cakewalk VST adapter. The automation works both VST for audio track and CC for a MIDI track.
