Is there a way to switch back and forth between solo and harmony or bass and pick modes of play in a midi track? Using Sonar 3.0

Thanks

marcfarmer,

To change performance mode use MIDI CC#54 for a MIDI track outputted to RealGuitar (1.01 VSTi),

or create automation envelope 'Mode' for audio track with RealGuitar.

Refer to RG 1.01 Manual for the automation map available for RG

Regards,
Sergey

Sergey:

I am using HomestudioXL2004 - which is a stripped down Sonar and your answer was Greek to me. Am I missing something or is that option you explained not available to me?

My workaround is to launch RealGuitar 2ce and use on for chords and the second for the leads and fills. That eats up memory though.

Russ,

1. RG 1.01 has automation feature (1.0 doesn't), so you can change any parameters along with the song using automation envelope or MIDI CC. The map is shown in Manual (if you have no automation envelopes in HS, use CC controller # 54 in the track to change modes).

2. If you use the same guitar patch in two instances of RealGuitar that doesn't take much memory than one instance.

Hey Sergey:

Thanks for your quick reply.

How do I get the 1.01 manual?I upgraded to V1.01 but when I go to the pdf file for the manual, it's still the V1.0 manual? How can I verify that I in fact am running V1.01 and/or how can I find the V1.01 manual?

Thanks again

Russ

BTW This is a great program. The acoustic sounds are awesome. I have virtually giiven up playing guitar on my songs because the computer beats me hands down. Two things I am waiting for from you guys:

1. Alternate tunings
2. Electric guitar sounds.

Keep up the good work.

Russ,

There in the Manual for 1.01 should be Automation and CC Map on the last page.

Unfortunately we missed to change the version in 1.01 update Manual

Regards,
Sergey
