|

Hi,
I am running Pro Tools on a Dual 1.8 Mac, sending midi via MOLCP to a PC Intel Core 2 CPU 2GHz running Vista Home Premium SP1 with 4GB memory.
I have working internet on both the Mac and the PC through a router; both can access the network.
MOLCP Control panel on the Mac shows midi activity when driving it with my controller (Motif ES8) but no activity is detected at the PC. Connections seem to be fine - network addresses are correct on both ends, and I have added MIDI monitor and ui.exe to the firewall exceptions list. Local Area Connection is UNchecked on the Advanced page so that Windows is not protecting me against it.
There is no reception of MIDI on the pc.
Any suggestions what to try? |

I'm having the exact same problem - strangely it was working fine a couple days ago and nothing has changed on my systems.
Did you find a resolution for this? |

I'm runing Sonar on Master with MOL to slave samples.
When the Sonar track is playing, I can see volume meters jumping on both the Sonar screen of the Master and the screen on the slave with the samples. But, I hear no sound.
Anyone have any ideas about this?

I have had this happen from time to time, and I pulled my hair out for a long time trying to figure it out. I kept reinstalling and trying to fix the PC, but all along the problem was on the mac end.
The solution is you need to go into the mac user/lib/prefs and delete the com.musiclab.molcp3.ctrlpannel.plist file. Or you can try reinstalling MOL on the mac.
Once you do that, it should come back fine.
They should post a sticky on the top of the forum with this info. |
