Can MOL be used to send midi between 2 apps locally ???

I'm testing AudioPort on my PC. I need to send midi from Protools 8 to Aidioport host, wich contain all my VIs, both apps are on the same PC. I have no problem sending midi from one computer to another but have no ide how to do it between 2 apps locally. Thanks
