Hi Hope someone can help me here... Crying or Very sad

I want to drive EZDrummer percussion from DTPD. Create my own patterns blah blah blah...

What I can't seem to figure out is [1] How do I map the voices (Note numbers) and [2] "rename" the voice(s) to show in the pop up list and [3] save the map as (EZDPerc_Map) so I can reload it any time I need to use percussion and know by the list what sounds are mapped.

I know the Congas, timbales etc that are already GM are done, but EZD has non-GM sounds too. Example a rain stick or the conga flam etc.

For example: I want the Kick drum section to trigger the rain stick... so I need to map it to trigger that sound AND rename the sound to "rain stick"

I hope someone will give me a step-by step on each thing the mapping, renaming sound list and saving the custom map... I'm a mental rock and need as much detail as you can fit in the space provided here... lol

A MILLION THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!
I'll even dedicate my grammy to ya Wink

shkgrad,

1. Go to Program Files->MusicLab->DrumTools->NoteNames folder and create custom NoteName map as *.txt file or edit the existing one (open any txt file to copy the format)

Re-run DT

Now you can select your new NoteName map in Slicy/Fill-in Drummer windows (in the NoteNames combo box above the right column of output names)

2. To create custom Drum Map using custom NoteNames Map:

- go to SD/FD Options window,
- load your NoteName map in NoteNames combo box,
- click in MIDI note column to select the needed MIDI note
- using +/- key find the NoteName you want to assign for that MIDI note
- save your edits as new Drum Map in Drum Map combo box

Now both SD/FD will use your custom drum map after you select it in the Options of any of them

Hope that helps

Regards,
Sergey
