noob question about possible configurations options

i am looking to do the following. A simple yes or not answer will suffice if someone would be as kind to let me know if midoverlan cp can do this.


i have main desktop pc which is hooked up to my main montiors. I also have a laptop that i use most of the time. I usually just use the laptop to run protools in my lounge using mbox micro and set of headphones.

I want to network the desktop pc so that i can send the audio to it from the laptop. It would also be useful if i could run seperate vst plugins on the desktop pc that i could then control using the laptop running pro tools.

two things i suppose i want to know that work. Will the desktop pc play the audio i am sending to it from the laptop. 2 - as protools does not run vst plugins will i be able to play them n the desktop pc and use them in protools. ( i think if this is possible it will only work for plugs that run in standalone format.)
