It seems that the error is produced from the latest full installer, which installs RG 3.0.1.7091. Could it be that "Acoustic.mls" is corrupted from the installer? A bad .pkg?

Never mind, I got it sorted.
The fix for the sound bank installation was to select the file "Acoustic.mls" again, then I actually changed the destination for them. So, it's all good here.
