qbaser,
No game controller will work with RG 2
RG 3 will support only Guitar Hero for PS3 controllers
Best (fully functional) are Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero 5 models
(Note, no game console needed, only USB wireless receiver)

qbaser,
1. The model should work, but...
it differs from the original cheap model (by Activision, which works flawlessly) in StarPower (Back) button appearance.
This button is multi-functional and very important in our layout. You can assign a lot of powerful things on it, such as Accent Strum, Slow Strum, Lower Strings Strum, Smack/Scrape FX, Slide FX, Bend FX, UnisonBend FX, and more... (you can see some in the video demo).
Also some FXs can be assigned on StarPower Hold action (holding this button allows to play Harmonics/Pinch Harmonics by simply tapping Frets, etc...)
So the shape, location, and pressing force of StarPower button is very important for the playability of the controller in the case of RG 3 layout.
Though any Guitar Hero PS3 controller model can be used for basic strumming using Fret buttons for chords, Strum Bar for strums, and Whammy Bar for bend and some FXs (all models certainly have those three playable controls)
2. Planning the release in April 2012

| It'll never happen. We waited for 64bit VST version of RG2 and it never came... |
