Hi, I've just received notification of the oncoming release of Version 3 of RealGuitar, RealStrat and RealLPC... The e-mail mentions that the upgrade will be free for customers purchasing the product(s) from December 1st to December 31st... but will it be free for the rest of the previous customers, too? If not, will there be a special offer for those of us who own all of them and wish to upgrade them all?

And most important of all... When will version 3 be released? Wink

Thanks in advance.

I just got RealStrat a couple weeks ago and haven't had time to install it yet. Now, it's already outdated? I really hope I can get a free or VERY reasonable upgrade. Fingers crossed...

My guess (hope it's a good one) is they'll make the upgrade to version 3 available for free to all previous owners... It'll be the ones purchasing version 3 the ones who will pay for a much more expensive version. Don't you think our faithfulness as old-time customers deserves that? Wink

The upgrade will be inexpensive, and of course include discounts for two/three product owners

We'll post the details soon

Regards,
Sergey

Great!!! Thanks. By the way... Will the struminator feature, for instance, allow you to use the colour keys in your Guitar Hero controller to select different strumming types (i.e. lower strings, upper strings, full strings...) while previously adding the chords through another MIDI track?

Yes, that is shown in the demo video Part 1, first song (Autumn Leaves)
SmartStrum mode:

1st button = lower strings strum (current chord I Position)
2nd button = upper strings strum
1+2 buttons = full chord strum

Additionally you can change chord position using four neighbor pairs of color buttons for each of four positions

Regards,
Sergey

For non-Guitar-heroists, what are the benefits, what will the Update offer?

- New GUI
- Custom Chord Banks for chordal modes (edit/change factory chord fingerings)
- Playable keys on virtual keyboard (mouse click)
- Added virtual keyboard for RealGuitar
- Added KeySwitch FXs for RealGuitar (up to 24)
- Added Key Switch Panel for RealGuitar (similar Strat/LPC)
- Expanded Key Switch range for RealGuitar (similar Strat/LPC)
- A number of smaller improvements

Regards,
Sergey

Will it be possible to add new chords? For instance, the so-called "Hendrix" chord (dominant7#9). That feature would be quite useful... I think you could do that in the old Rhythm'n'Chords...

sanguino2001,

1. 7(#9) chord is there from the first version

2. In version 3 you can edit any existing chord to any fingering you want

3. BTW we added sus2 chord (many users asked for that)

Regards,
Sergey
