NO Pattern Manager or Library after upgrading

HI!
I am running Ableton Live 8.21 onOSX 10.58, on an ageing gut still reliable Powerbook 1.5.
After upgrading to RLG 2.3 , I have lost the pattern manager as well as the ability to run any patterns from previously created projects with recorded inputs in Abletons slots. Also, since Live introducede a new way to enter controls for plug ins and VIs, I can assign any of the parameters of RG any more to controllers - its quite a bummer, since I use it a lot on stage....
Any Ideas?
