Another track...

Haven't put any vocals on yet, but I thought I'd upload what's done so far.

Used three RealStrats and a RealGuitar. Nothing exceptional as these are parts to go with the full 'band' arrangement/sound.

I also used GuitarRig.

Zapata

Comments always appreciated!

Wow! This piece has got spunk! Very upbeat and organic sounding. Is that virtual brass? If so - terrific! If not - still terrific. Makes me want to dance and jump around. Really nice work.

More!

spitfire31,

Thanks for your comments!

"Is that virtual brass?"

No, the horns are real.

Here's what's happening:

All Drums have been replaced (from original tracks) except the Hihat. Used BeatDetective, Drumagog and BFD. The room sound is completely from BFD. Slight EQ on some of the individual drums. No other processing.

Guitars are all either RealStrat or RealGuitar. MIDI programmed. GuitarRig2 used.

Bass is the original fretless track. BeatDetective (to lock with drums) and Melodyne (tuning) were used. GuitarRig2 used.

Multitracked trumpet and trombone - three passes, separate tracks. BeatDetective and Melodyne used.

Trumpet solo is real - BeatDetective and Melodyne used. Slight note selection modified in Melodyne.

Piano (sample) and "REAL B3 with Leslie" used. BeatDetective used on Piano, only.

Real Congas, Tambourine and Shaker - BeatDetective used, some loops created.

I did NONE of the tracking/recording. Some parts were e-mailed to me.

I will be adding the artist's vocals at some point.
