MusicLab,

Thanks for the video showing SmartStrum and SmartStrings. Since I'm not a Guitar Hero player, but am interested in getting one of these game controllers for Real 3, I have a couple of questions regarding the controller.

1. The controller you're using looks to be a GH World Tour Guitar, is this a wireless controller?

2. For this to work in our DAW does it have to be a controller compatible with either Play Station, XBox or PC? Or does it not matter? I looked on Amazon and saw all three and am not sure which one I would need to get.

3. Will Real 3 products be native 64-bit for Mac VST (Mac Cubase user).
Thanks.

searlstudio,

1./2. In the video we used GH World Tour, XBox wireless controller working via optional USB dongle/receiver for Windows (not included with the game set)

Similar wireless controller is GH World Tour for PlayStation 3 (USB wireless receiver included). Will support PC/Mac.

Other GH guitars (even later versions) don't have Sensor pads (Slider bar) on the fretboard, used in our video for triggering sustained strings, but can work fine as well.

Any other (non GH) controllers that we tested have no Tilt control option which is used in Struminator for dynamics (velocity) control, as well as for switching various FXs.

3. Working on that. Hope, yes.

Regards,
Sergey
