|
|
|
Hello,
Chords with pattern mode within ACID PRO 4.
I have a MIDI file with a sustained chord accross 8 measures at 120 bpm.
A slow or normal full downstrum pattern.
When rendering the project or to a new track, some strings suddenly stop playing, so that the chord becomes incomplete at the end.
It's not always the same strings, not always the same duration from render to render.
Same issue with RealLPC.
NEVER had this issue with RealGuitar !
Big problem because RealStrat and RealLPC are not reliable for me, for definitive audio projects.
Any idea about this issue ? Do you need more information to investigate ? A fix ?
Thanks. |

I found the explanation.
But MusicLab should provide an update for both RealStrat and RealLPC, as follows.
I remember having similar problems with RealGuitar 2 on Acid Pro 4.
I had to set "QuickLoad" option to "OFF" for good rendering quality, otherwise some notes were cut off. However, the preview mode worked fine with "QuickLoad" set to "ON".
As far as I know, RealStrat and RealLPC do NOT have the "QuickLoad" option available in the GUI.
However, I noticed that the parameter exist in the registry. So, I tried to change "FullMemMode" from "0" to "1" before loading RealStrat.
The full sample library is now loaded (873 MB instead of 42 MB).
The good news is : the rendering works fine, no more cut notes !
The drawback is that "FullMemMode" is always reset to "0" on exit. It has to be changed again manually before the next load. Not handy at all.
So, I suggest either to add "QuickLoad" option in RealStrat and RealLPC, either not reset the "FullMemMode" to "0" on exit and leave it as is.
This update will fix this issue. I hope it will be available soon.
Thanks in advance for your support. |

Still no plans for an update with QuickLoad options in RealStrat and RealLPC ?
Thanks. |

MusicLab released updates (RS 1.2 and RLPC 1.1) but I guess those updates are still considered as beta versions and do not appear on the regular download page.
Please e-mail MusicLab with your serial number, because I don't know if I'm allowed to share the links on this forum. They will send you a download link. Please note that the RG 2.3 updater is not yet compatible with the "no patterns" version. All is OK with RS and RLPC.
The problem concerns RealStrat and RealLPC (RealGuitar has the Quickload on/off already functional).
To set the Quickload option to "off", the registry must be used as follows:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MusicLab\RealStrat\1\SamplerEngine]
"FullMemMode"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MusicLab\RealLPC\1\SamplerEngine]
"FullMemMode"=dword:00000001
Replace 00000001 by 00000000 to reset QuickLoad to "on" (the default settings).
The new updaters do not reset the flags on exit, so you can go on using your preferences as long as you wish.
I hope this helps. |
