As you all probably know, Apple's Snow Leopard operating system is out. So, what is the status of compatibility between all of the Music Lab products and this new operating system. I own RealGuitar, RealStrat and MOLCP 3. How well will all three function with Snow Leopard?
Thanks. . . |

Just a quick update -
I'm in the process of finishing the "Big Move" to Snow Leopard. I had some spare time and was in-between projects, so this was as good of time as ever to make the (painful) move.
Everything, so far, is working just fine! I use all of your products in most of my projects. This, of course, includes using MOLCP3 which is instrumental (no pun intended! ) in allowing me to work on larger sequencing projects with slave computers.
Just yesterday, my sequencing/audio software of choice has gone 64-bit! This makes the pain of upgrading to Snow Leopard a bit more tolerable. I haven't explored Logic Pro 9.1's 64-bit mode yet, but at least it didn't crash when I opened up the program in 64-bit mode. Now, this leads me to my final question:
Are there plans to update or upgrade your products to 64-bit mode?
It seems that there may be issues with Logic's 64-bit mode, it's 32-bit bridge software and MusicLab's current versions of instruments. The KS and Legato functions don't seem to work in Logic's 64-bit mode. But they work in Logic's 32-bit mode. To be honest, I'm just happy that RealStrat, RealGuitar, RealLPC and MOLCP3 works in Snow Leopard and Logic's 32-bit mode. However, it would be nice to have these new issues addressed, though.
Finally, I really LOVE your new RealLPC software instrument. It sounds wonderful and is relatively easy to "play" in order to create and sequence a nice guitar track. I can't play guitar at all. Too many strings! LOL! Your guitar libraries, including RealLPC, makes for a really nice alternative, thankfully.
Thank you for making fine products!
Gratefully yours,
